Reflection:Well done is half done - Aristotle (Pupils diary Pg 55)



1.   10 jugs of water can fill  5/8    of a pail. Another 4 jugs and 5 cups can fill the remaining part of the pail. How many cups of water can the pail hold?

2.   A slice of cake cost 5 times as much as a bun. Yani spent  1/5   of her money on buns and  1/2   of the remainder on 4 slices of cake. How many buns did she buy?

3.   Ali and Muthu share a sum of money. If Ali gives  1/2  of his share to Muthu, Muthu will have $48 more than Ali. If Ali gives 1/4 of his share to Muthu, Muthu will have $28 more than Ali. What is the Ali’s share?
